Please join us in congratulating one of our followers from the USA! Last week, we received some incredible news, she had her blood test. 🎉

For as long as she can remember, Margo has been afraid of needles.

A traumatic injection experience at age five left a lasting fear that followed her for years, bad enough that she needed sedation just for dental work involving needles.

When bloodwork became medically necessary, she began EMDR therapy to work through the fear at its root. Weeks of preparation later, she faced her appointment again, and for the first time in her life, she got through it without crying.

This National Diabetes Week, we want to say the thing we don't hear said enough: needle fear in diabetes care is real, common, and rarely talked about.

Up to 80% of people living with diabetes experience some degree of needle anxiety, and yet daily glucose checks and injections don't wait for that fear to go away. It costs $190 a night for RMHC Sydney to support a family with a sick child in hospital.

👩‍🏫 Free tutoring and education support for kids missing school
