Here's the shortcut: forget the options for a second. Just ask yourself — is light or privacy the bigger issue in this room? Start there, and everything else gets easier to narrow down.

Don't stress, we're here to help. Book a free home visit or come see us in the showroom.

Made-to-measure takes time. Spring books out fast.

Every year it’s the same pattern: spring arrives, everyone suddenly wants new window furnishings at once, and lead times stretch out.

Made-to-order blinds, shutters, and curtains take real time to manufacture properly. Booking your consultation now means your order is already in the pipeline before the rush hits.

Winter is genuinely the easiest time to get this done, quieter bookings, same craftsmanship, no compromise on quality to hit a deadline.

We’re deep into winter now, and the homes that feel warmest aren’t always the best insulated — they’re the best dressed.

Layering a curtain over an existing blind or shutter does more than add softness to a room. It creates a second barrier against draughts and cold glass, trapping warm air where you actually feel it.
It’s a small change with a noticeably bigger result — and it works with whatever you already have on your windows.

If your home still feels cold no matter how high the heating’s set, this might be the missing layer.

With the kids home these holidays, cord safety is worth a second look.

If your blinds still have a looped cord, school holidays are a good reminder to check how safe your current setup actually is for young kids.

The good news — you don’t have to give up the look you want to fix it.

Cordless blinds remove the hazard entirely while still operating smoothly by hand. Motorised options go a step further — no cord, no chain, control from a remote or your phone, even on hard-to-reach windows.

Both are simple to retrofit and look identical to standard blinds from the outside.

Ask us which option suits your home — link in bio, or send us a message.

The four mistakes we see in almost every home before we get involved.

After enough years doing this, the same few mistakes come up again and again, all avoidable.

1. Measuring it yourself and rounding to the nearest size
2. Choosing blackout or sheer based on looks, not what the room actually needs
3. Ignoring which way the window faces and how the light moves through the day
4. Going the cheapest DIY route on a feature window that deserved more thought

None of these are expensive to get right the first time. They’re expensive to fix after the fact.
Avoid the guesswork, book a free measure and consult. Link in bio.

Motorised or manual? Here’s how to actually decide.

Motorised blinds get a lot of attention, but they’re not automatically the better choice, it depends on the window.

Motorised makes sense for: high or hard-to-reach windows, skylights, anyone who wants scheduling or smart home control, and households where reaching a cord or wand isn’t easy.

Manual still makes sense for: most standard windows, simpler budgets, and anyone who just wants a reliable, no-fuss operation.
A lot of homes end up using both, motorised where it solves a real problem, manual everywhere else.

Curious if motorised suits your home? Send us a message.

Not every room needs the same kind of dark.

Blackout and light-filtering do very different jobs — and using the wrong one in the wrong room is one of the most common mistakes we see.

Blackout → bedrooms, nurseries, media rooms. Anywhere sleep or screen glare matters more than natural light.

Light-filtering → living rooms, kitchens, dining areas. Anywhere you want privacy and softness without losing daylight.

Most homes need both — just not in the same room.

Not sure what your space needs? Drop a question below or send us a message.
