Very very special pick of the week today! A late 1955 Gibson Les Paul, NOT a standard, for all the dilettantes out there. This has already gone at the time this video will be up, but we simply had to show it off. This one is a rare privilege and it’s lovely to have Joel’s sweet little deluxe back in the shop to give such a fine guitar a proper platform. Enuf twaddle, listen on and rejoice!

Check out this incredible late 1955 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop that I sourced from Michigan in the USA just recently.

An early example with the ABR-1 bridge and stoptail piece, it remains in totally original condition except for the first 5 frets, showing some incredible play wear from decades of use.

This guitar is already SOLD and has found a new home right here in Sydney 🎸

I have had a few nice Les Pauls over the years, but this is one for the books!

A late 1955 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop that came from the family of its original owner in Michigan, USA.

An early example with the ABR-1 bridge and stoptail piece, it remains in totally original condition except for the first 5 frets, showing some incredible play wear from decades of use.

This guitar is already SOLD and has found a new home right here in Sydney 🎸

Check out this 1968 Fender Sw***er in its original factory black finish!

The Sw***er was born from re-shaped Bass V model bodies, being similar to the Musicmaster with a short scale and one single coil neck pickup.

My pick for this week is this great playing 1996 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Wine Red!

This example was originally sold in Japan, having a nice flamed 3-piece maple top, and some real play wear from the last 30 years.

This example is a true road warrior, having seen a LOT of play time in its life having extensive repairs, multiple tailpieces, and a Maltese cross painted on the back 🤟
