A beautiful public holiday morning beach fishing session producing one fish with eyes bigger than its belly.
Caught on my custom rebuilt NS Amped 2 Bream Rod and JDM imported Shimano Ultegra 2000 series reel
- all new Fuji guides with Japanese inspired decal collage inbetween the split but section.

It’s not always about rod building, regular reel maintenance also needs to be done.
Full disassembly, clean and lubrication of a 20+ year old Abu Garcia and an entry level Daiwa Aird Baitcaster reel.
I was very impressed with how the Abu has held up over the years, granted I haven’t used it much for a while now.

This rod is for one of my repeat customers who already has this exact build in his collection, but he’s sick of sharing it with the family so ordered another from me ready for his upcoming Fraser trip.

Pictures from a recent trip testing my Shoreline Baitcaster rod fitted out with Titanium ALPS guides on a Samurai CG3 blank.
Needless to say this has fast become one of my favourite rods, paired with a Daiwa Tatula 100 reel.
