I am pleased to let you know that our Japanese tea canisters are back in stock.
They make delightful gifts or can take a special place in your kitchen.

Each canister has an extra seal inside to keep your tea really fresh.

Our product this year has been a set of cards written by Steve Coleman (a trained yoga teacher as well as a children's book writer)

These cards are reflections for you while you on your own, or with a special friend having a quiet cup of tea. They are based on Yamas and Niyamas from an ancient Indian treatise known as Srimad Bhagavatam.
The messages themselves provide guidelines for living peacefully in our world. They are carefully and beautifully woven into our appreciation of the tea from the Camellia sinensis tea plant.

'For the finest leaf, as for any fruit, cultivate, yet do not over-cultivate; prune, yet do not over-prune; water, yet do not over-water; pick the leaf, yet do not over pick.
In life we must find that balance point between excess and deficit in every act and thought. - from 'the 24 Reflections on Tea.'

Our customers are buying the pack of cards for themselves or as gifts.

Settling down to a mug of tea with a good book is a wonderful, relaxing feeling.

That's why we offer books, (adults and children's), and a range of teas for you to choose from. To help that mug of tea be a perfect one for you we also have a range of tea accessories, infusers with ornaments, Japanese tea canisters, tea infuser mugs, teapots with tea cosies and gift packs.

Time to remind you how much we appreciate your support, whether it be a cheerful smile and wave, a quick chat, feedback on a tea or a purchase. It all adds up to being part of a caring community here in Townsville.

Over the last few weeks, we have seen many visitors to Townsville. Some are here for an event, others visiting family or choosing to come and experience our delightful sunny winter weather.

How nice it has been as a number of people remembered us from a previous Townsville visit and were keen to stock up on tea and even try some different ones.

Of course, every week there are loyal customers who return for their favourite tea... definitely a large packet. THANK YOU.

Yes, we were at Fairfield Central, and it was nice to see some people we saw when we were there last year.

Our customers were pleased with our suggestions for Father's Day gifts.
As well as our teas we have infuser mugs, gift packs, Tea Reflection cards and some appropriate books.

A quick reminder: Father's Day is Sunday 6th.

I know I was always looking for something a little different.

I am suggesting a packet of Townsville Tea Company tea. It could be a favourite like a breakfast tea or how about Introducing a different tea, make the gift special.

Have you thought of Townsville Chai based on a high-quality orange pekoe black tea?

Or what about an herbal blend, one that does not have caffeine. Great for an evening drink

We seem to have had a busy few weeks. So have you probably because there have been so many interesting things happening in Townsville.

Time for a gentle reminder.
It is important to allow ourselves some 'time out'.
Time to relax, catch our breath and do a little reflection.

Always good to have a cup of tea, savour the flavour and drink it slowly.

Our teas are gaining in popularity, visitors are returning to Townsville and saying how much they enjoyed our teas last time they visited and are stocking up to take home with them. (We do also mail tea all round Australia.)

A day to look forward to: A Special Artists Market. One where you can meet the maker, have a chat and find why they are so passionate about their art.

They will have items for sale so if you are looking for a special gift that is a bit different this could be the place for you. especially as it is the first time a market like this has been held in Townsville.

Afterall not every market offers the chance to chat with the artist whose work catches your eye.

Steve Coleman will be there, with the children's books he has written, and some teas offered by our Townsville tea Company.
Very SPECIAL are the '24 reflections on tea'. All in a beautifully illustrated pack for you to choose a card at random each day and quietly reflect on the message while you enjoy a cup of tea.

There will be lots of artists, and a coffee van.

Sunday 16 August 10am-3pm.

Time for tea. 8 varieties for you to choose from...and we are making a decision about the next tea to come.
Along with our tea we have accessories so you really can create your own individualised tea ritual.
*Infusers, several shapes and sizes. Some with ornaments some without.
*Infuser mugs, ideal if you are having a cup of tea on your own or family members choose to drink different beverages.
*Gift packs, tea with an infuser or 2 mini packets as samples.
*Teapots, tea for one. and tea cosies.
* Canisters from Japan to keep your tea fresh.

SUNDAY Cotters market Flinders St. 8am - 1pm 16th August.
If you are looking for books Steve will be at the ARTISTS MARKET.
'MEET THE MAKER' at Drill Hall Studio 10am - 3pm, Mitchell St, North Ward.
This will be the first market of its kind in Townsville when you can chat with artists as they share their passion for all kinds of art. Definitely worth a visit.

It certainly is a very special opportunity.
This is an Artists Market where different art and craft artists have been invited to attend and share their craft. You will meet exhibiting artists who you might never have met before.

Art comes in many forms, and you'll discover a great variety on Sunday.
Glass, textiles, painting, jewellery, books, tea, mixed media and more will be represented by talented local makers who love sharing what they create.
