Here is a custom clock made for a Veteran. This was a challenging project. We used our Omtech laser to etch each pocket required for resin inlay. It had to be millimetre perfect, 7 times, on and off the laser to build the image. Some people had their doubts, but the results speak for themselves. And the bonus is the clock is guaranteed to be right twice a day đŸ€˜đŸŒ

At Resinate Wood Co., we were humbled to be entrusted with designing and creating a memorial piece for a loved one who had passed.

The intention behind this piece was to create something that went beyond a traditional memorial, something deeply personal, where every element carried its own significance and meaning.

At its centre is the Tree of Life, representing family, our roots, the lives that grow from them, and the enduring connection between generations.

Surrounding the tree are Celtic knots, with no beginning and no end, symbolising eternity and an unbreakable bond. Woven amongst the branches are the Irish words “Grá Síoraí” meaning Eternal Love.

The butterfly represents transformation, hope, and the continuation of life’s journey.

The Robin, however, holds perhaps the most significant meaning. In Irish folklore and tradition, the appearance of a robin nearby is often associated with the comforting belief that a loved one who has passed is close, a symbol of their continued presence and connection with those they left behind.

For these memorials, we wanted that symbolism to become something more.

A small amount of their loved one’s ashes was carefully incorporated into the red breast of each Robin, creating a deeply personal and lasting connection within each memorial piece.

Four individual memorials were created, each carrying the same story and symbolism, while allowing those closest to her to keep a small part of their loved one near, forever.

A piece created to represent family, remembrance, connection and a love that does not end with loss.

GrĂĄ SĂoraĂ — Eternal Love. ☘

Resinate Wood Co. was incredibly fortunate to be approached by the crew of HMAS Perth (FFH 157) to build four custom Uckers boards, one for each of the ship’s messes: the Wardroom, Chief Petty Officers’ Mess, Petty Officers’ Mess, and Junior Sailors’ Mess.

Each board was handcrafted from solid hardwood and features coloured resin inlays, gold leaf detailing, laser engraved service insignia, the silhouette of HMAS Perth, and engraved rails naming each mess. We wanted these to be more than just game boards, we wanted them to become heirloom pieces that reflected the pride, history, and identity of the ship and her crew.

One detail that was especially important to include was Red Lead. The tradition dates back to the original HMAS Perth, where the ship’s black cat is said to have knocked over a tin of red lead paint, leaving paw prints across the deck before the ship was tragically sunk during the Second World War. The cat went down with the ship, and the red paw prints have since become part of HMAS Perth’s heritage. Each board carries those red paw prints, along with a hidden black cat waiting to be found.

The first image shows one of the boards now aboard HMAS Perth. Despite a very tight turnaround, we’re proud it arrived before the ship sailed.

It was an absolute privilege to create something that will hopefully be played on, appreciated, and become a small part of HMAS Perth’s story for many years to come.

Thank you to the ship’s company for trusting Resinate Wood Co. with such a meaningful commission.

A recent commission for Operation Mazurka 59A that has now made its way to the Middle East.

The centrepiece features a green and gold resin river running through the plaque, representing Australian colours and tying the piece together.

Each of the Egyptian, Australian and Israeli flags was broken down into individual carving stages, with every colour meticulously carved, poured, cured and finished separately before moving on to the next layer.

The process was time-consuming, but it allowed each flag to be resin inlaid rather than simply painted or printed.

A lot of hours went into this one, but it was worth it to produce a piece that will remain with the contingent long after the deployment is complete.

Proud to have been trusted with it.

Here is the lazy Susan we donated to the Australian War Widows Queensland Friendship Day, hosted by the Townsville Sub-Branch at Brothers Leagues Club.

Featuring the iconic kookaburra and gum leaves that form the symbol of the Australian War Widows organisation, this piece was created as a raffle prize to help support the incredible work they do for war widows and their families.

We are honoured to contribute something handcrafted for such a meaningful event and am humbled to hear it was so well received on the day.

Lest We Forget.

It started as a vision in my mind.
From lines on a board
to something that now stands on its own.

Every part of this was earned, shaped, tested, adjusted, and refined until the idea held its ground in the real world.

To say we’re proud of this build doesn’t quite cover it. It’s the meaning behind it, the materials, the story, the lived experiences now carried within the piece, that give it its weight.

Bringing this piece to life stirred something in me that’s hard to explain.
Even pride doesn’t quite cover it.

A rough edit of 40+ hours that went into this trophy for the ANZAC Day Challenge.

The ANZAC Day Challenge is an annual touch football match between the Townsville Saints and the North Queensland Crocs (Defence).

A challenging build and one we at , alongside Dale from are proud to have been trusted with.

Engraved on the base:

Crafted for the ANZAC Day Challenge, this piece reflects the bond between service and community. Formed from locally sourced Australian Red Ironbark, it carries sand from ANZAC Cove and soils from both a Defence training area and Queens Park, uniting past and present, military and civilian.

The lone soldier stands in remembrance, while the structure honours service, sacrifice, and mateship, rising from the earth to an obelisk that signifies enduring remembrance.

Designed and built by veterans Steven and Lucas Boyé, in collaboration with Dale Cordwell.

It is not just awarded — it is honoured.
