This pretty antique genuine hand carved shell Cameo Brooch/Pendant is set in an individually made - 12kt Gold Filled Frame in good vintage condition. Finely hand-carved in Italy from natural shell, the cameo is a classical silhouette portrait of a lady wearing long drop earrings. It measures 31x39mm. The frame includes a bail at the top to enable it to be worn as a pendant. Won by Cate Newton @ $45! Thank you Cate

This delightful antique genuine hand carved shell Cameo Brooch is set in a beautifully made 9ct rose gold frame made by E.G.Cy & Co hallmarked to Bristol in 1949. Finely hand-carved in Italy from natural shell, the cameo is a classical silhouette portrait of a lady wearing pearls. It measures 30x25mm. Total weight 4.75gms. Opening bid is less than the current gold price for the frame alone. This The frame includes a loop at the top to enable it to be worn as a pendant. More photos & references in comments.

This exquisite antique shell cameo captures a dynamic scene of a Roman God as a charioteer driving a team of galloping horses. Finely hand-carved from natural shell, the cameo evokes a feeling of movement in the flowing drapery of the figure to the motion of the rearing horses. Likely late 19th or early 20th century Italian. Unmounted so could be made into a brooch or added to the lid of a small box. It measures 30x37mm. These can sell at European Antiques Auctions for £250. More photos & references in comments.

Who loves Cameos?
Obviously I do as I have been hoarding these for years now. Which do you think is the rarest? Which the most valuable? Some are paste, some are real set in gilt frames or gold vermeil over silver, others are set in 9ct or 14ct gold. I’m thinking I’ll list one per week with as much info and history as I can manage.. now where to start?

I wonder if this still works?

Hi All, I am regularly asked by customers how to get notifications of my posts . “How do I get to see things first?” There are several things you can do:
1. You can adjust your settings for my page to “see this first”.
2. You can influence the Facebook algorithm by liking and commenting on more of my posts so Fb then shows you more of my posts.
3. You can ask me to notify/message you when I’m listing the kind of products you are interested in.
4. You can quickly check my page at about 6-6:30 each day to see what is happening that night.(Set a reminder?)
5. If you are looking for something specific msg me. Send me a pic if you can.
