A very tranquil part of the Bay

A very tranquil part of the Bay

This morning, I have an image captured along the waterfront at Lemon Tree Passage.

If you walk from Henderson Park, heading west, when you come opposite Marine Parade, you will find a couple of old timber seats.

Originally, the one on the left is an actual seat and the one on the right is actually a fish scaling platform. These were both erected decades ago by a local family and these seats are nearing the end of their lives. There are another 2 similar seats closer to Henderson Park and the 4 of these are unique in Port Stephens.

The seat, or more accurately, fish scaling bench pictured here, has succumb to the passing of time and has been placed further up the bank, wedged into tree roots but the image here is from several years ago when it was still below the high tide mark.

Enjoy

This morning I have another image captured along the waterfront at Lemon Tree Passage.

If you walk from Henderson Park, heading west, through Rudd Reserve and you'll come to a spot where there are some rocks protruding from below the high tide mark. Follow the rocks out into the water you'll see mangroves. This is the scene you see here, captured just as the sun's last rays are fading.

Ahh, the serenity ❤️

Ahh, the serenity ❤️

This morning I have a very tranquil image to start off the working week.

At the western end of Henderson Park in Lemon Tree Passage, stands a lone mangrove tree with some rocks at the high tide mark nearby. The new coastal pathway meanders past this point and most people walking past would see this tree but I wonder how many actually take notice of it?

Well, I have noticed it, and have photographed it many times, at high tide, at low tide, during the middle of the day and at sunset. The different moods that are caught each time I photograph this tree are synonymous with the Port Stephens area where the lighting, moods and story that is told changes daily and even hour by hour.

This image is captured late in the day, with a long exposure enhancing the serenity of the scene.

Please enjoy your week, I know that I will.

This tree stands testament to the weathering of all conditions that are thrown at it, and despite all the adversity, can still be captured in serenity.

Another one of my Fine Art local images that you'll be able to see on Saturday at the Tanilba Bay Baptist Church Markets,

I present to you from my Fine Art Panorama Collection - "Solitary Mangrove"

Who knows where this is?
Have you noticed that at low tide, water from a creek makes these wonderful lines across the flats?
