A beautiful Madeit Artisan morning tea on the Gold Coast this morning. I feel so privileged to host this catch-up and the amazing artisans that come.

We have an equal number of Madeit members and other artisans from the area who come along.
Mum made GF date loaf with ginger butter, and I made a GF spicy carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, along with cups of tea and coffee.

I finished my latest teapot cosy yesterday, and she’s a character — a little quirky, a little unexpected, and absolutely determined to brighten up your morning brew.

Knitted from beautifully soft Australian 100% wool, she’s full of personality and charm… the kind of cosy that makes you smile before the kettle has even boiled.

Can't wait to see you all on Thursday 18th June - 10am -11am.
Hopefully Mum has already got her cookbooks out and is planning our morning tea! YUM.

We have a great group of artisans that pop along, and it is truly about connection. We have a growing number of Madeit artisans who are also selling their wares in the Curated Space. So, pop in and check it out.

Some amazing collaborations have started from this group.

A few weeks ago I joined a little “bag challenge” with a beautiful friend in the UK. My first attempt was sweet, but it didn’t quite feel like me. So, over the last few days I’ve made another version — one that suits my needs, with pockets in all the right places.

The outside fabric is the special part. It came from my late aunty’s stash, and it means the world to me that a tiny piece of her will now be hanging over my shoulder every day. A small reminder of where I come from, stitched into something I’ll use and love.
