I am a home hobbyist selling my handmade gift ideas at local markets and here through my shop. I have been sewing since I was at school.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Belinda and for many years I have enjoyed crafting, sewing, patchwork and quilting. I purchased my first brand new sewing machine at the age of 18 - quite a few years ago now! I purchased my embroidery machine in 2016 after being intrigued and wanting to try my hand at something new. I purchased my Cricut machine in 2020 for the same reason! I just love being cr

eative and trying something new. I don't get much patchwork or quilting done much these days except for special occasions. As for sewing, machine embroidery and designing things with my Cricut... there just aren't enough hours in the day!!! Coming up with my business name was an easy choice for me. I became a nanny for the first time in May 2018 with the arrival of my gorgeous grandson Darcy. My 1st gorgeous granddaughter Olive arrived in June 2021, with my 2nd gorgeous granddaughter Celia arriving in 2024. It was decided I would be Nanny B so it seemed logical to name my business this as well. With the help of my lovely daughter, my logo and business Nanny Bee Handmade was off and running in September 2018. I have a stall at a local market every month and occasionally attend other markets as well. I love seeing the reaction of my customers and hearing that they like my products and the functionality of them. I find it very comforting to hear those comments. I like to make products that are practical and unique. I use quality materials and take pride in my work ensuring each and every piece is of a high standard. If I don't have something you are after, please ask in person or send me a message or email and I will endeavour to let you know if I can assist you. I have so many ideas that haven't made it to the markets or into the shop yet, so you never know! I hand make everything that you see at my market stall and in my shop, here in my own home, by myself. I do not purchase things ready-made and then sell them on. Yes, I purchase blank items and add to them with my Cricut, however, my sewn and embroidered items are all made, cut out and presented by me. If you see me at a market, make sure you come and say hello.

Evening everyone, hope we are all well. 😃
Nanny Bee has been busy with building my market stock. However, I just wanted to clear something up...I had a customer ask at the last market where I BUY my stock from! I MAKE everything I sell. I buy hardware; as in cups, wooden pieces, snaps & keyrings, however the finished piece I sell is all my own work. I cut them out, ✂️I sew them🧵🪡, apply the hardware & attach the snaps etc all myself. Hence the 'handmade' part of my name! 🫶

On a more positive note, I started new employment last week & absolutely ❤️ it! A change is sometimes what we need to realise our potential in this world 💐👏💜

Nanny Bee now has sew on as well as sew in labels to add to my sewing items. Super happy with how they turned out. A BIG thank you to James at The Etched Lab on Etsy for his amazing skills in creating my labels. I plan on using the sew on labels for a new boxy bag coming soon! I've attached a pic of the new sew on labels.

On a different note, I left my fulltime employment on Monday just past. Keenly looking for alternative employment, so fingers crossed it is just around the corner. I wish I could sew & create fulltime, unfortunately though, it doesn't cover the necessary bills!

We are currently getting soaked with rain here, so I hope everyone is safe, dry & warm!

So good to get back to some normality after a 2 week absence due to a hospital stay & then daily hospital visits. Thank you so much to those friends who reached out & checked up on me. I truly appreciated it.

Nanny Bee had our first Markets in the Mall at Griffin Plaza last weekend. BIG thank you to my sister in law for helping me out all day, couldn't have done it without you Leasa, thank you!

BIG thank you to all the visitors & customers who dropped by as well. Without you, the market would not have been successful. The number of stall holders was low, however, it is Winter & it was our first market. The number of stall holders for next month is already higher though, which is fantastic. So, if you are local to Griffith, keep Saturday 18th July free to check out our next market from 9am til 2pm, Griffin Plaza, at the Reject Shop side of the mall.

Have really enjoyed getting back into some sewing, with Icecream/ Noodle Cup Cosies under the needle today. I had a few enquiries for them last market & my stock was low!

Productive weekend of sewing for Nanny Bee with jar grippers & scrunchies made with more scrunchies & sock savers to finish off. Not so productive on the laptop that seems to be slower than a wet week!
Realised I have products that I've been selling at the markets, that I haven't loaded to the shop yet, sorry guys! Ventolin holders, jar grippers, sock savers, scrunchies & baby bibs all need to be added. I will get them loaded soon, here are a few pics to show them off! Will need to take pics of the bibs & scrunchies! I often forget to take pics of my creations, I need to get better at that!

Griffith Central Shopping Cebtre Market Day this Saturday 21st March 9am til 2pm. Nanny Bee will be there with wooden signs, bowl cosies, bucket hats, keyrings, iceblock; ventolin; hand sanitiser & lip balm holders & lots more including new sock savers & bucket hats in teenage/ adult size! Come on down & you'll find me near the internal entrance to Chemist Warehouse. See you there!

Happy 2026!
I hope all my local followers are enjoying the cooler weather after the 40°+ weather we recently suffered through. I'm definitely not a fan of summer!
I have been busy sewing & creating to re-fill my stock after the Christmas market. I can mark off bowl cosies, with 45 finished off this weekend! Bucket hats & wooden signs are on the list for next weekend.

The next market will be Saturday 21st February at Griffith Central 9am til 2pm, where you'll find me near the Chemist Warehouse entry.

I'd like to take this time to thank all my customers & followers for a very successful end to markets for 2025 for Nanny Bee.
I've met many customers, new & returning over the past year at the Griffith Central markets. Your support over the past year has been invaluable & has meant the world to me & my little business.
As I look back over the year & especially the last few days, I am super proud of myself & my little handmade business I have created & nutured. I have you all to thank for my success & confidence in myself!
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas & a happy, healthy (& creative!) New Year. Looking forward to 2026 & continuing to grow my little market stall with you all xo
