একটু Midnight Nagging & Authentic Pakistani Brand নিয়ে কিছু কথা 🙏

আমরা যারা Authentic Pakistani Clothing line নিয়ে কাজ করি, প্রত্যেকেরই নিজস্ব একটা brand niche আছে। কেউ mid to high end, কেউ high end, কেউ stitched catalogue, কেউ mixed catalogue, কেউ আবার stitch & unstitched ভিন্ন ভিন্ন ব্র্যান্ড ও collection নিয়ে কাজ করি। কিন্তু একটা জায়গায় আমরা সবাই এক- we only do business with “Authentic Pakistani Brands” or Pakistani Boutiques.

পাকিস্তান থেকে একটি পোশাক import করার ক্ষেত্রে product price এর পাশাপাশি আমাদের বড় একটি cost হলো weight charge। বর্তমানে বেশিরভাগ ক্ষেত্রে প্রতি কেজিতে প্রায় ১৬০০-১৮০০ টাকা পর্যন্ত weight charge দিতে হয়। আর যারা Authentic Pakistani পোশাক কেনেন, তারা জানেন, মাত্র ১-২টি medium to heavy dress ই অনেক সময় এক কেজি বা তারও বেশি weight হয়ে যায়।

Which means product cost এর বাইরে শুধু weight charge ই আমাদের জন্য *one of the* significant cost!

এরপর আছে customs, logistics, operational expenses, staff salary, packaging, delivery related costs. সবকিছু মিলিয়ে আমরা যারা pre order বা stock business করি, তারা দিন রাত পরিশ্রম করে খুবই minimal profit margin এ একটি অথেনটিক পাকিস্তানি বিজনেস চালাই।

This is not a complaint or nagging; this is a duty of a business owner to run the business with lots of hard work, sacrifice. আমাদের দায়িত্বই হলো সৎভাবে এবং হালাল উপায়ে বিজনেস পরিচালনা করা।
আলহামদুলিল্লাহ , আমরা আমাদের কাস্টমার দের যতটা সম্ভব reasonable price এ অরিজিনাল প্রডাক্ট দিয়ে থাকি।

আরেকটা বিষয় পরিষ্কার করতে চাই।

আলহামদুলিল্লাহ আমাদের পরিচিত অনেক Pakistani business page এর বিশাল একটা সুন্দর community আছে এবং আমরা একে অপরকে competitor না ভেবে একে অপরের business কে respect করি। প্রতিদিন সবাই সবার খোঁজ খবর নিয়ে থাকি। তবে সম্প্রতি আমরা একটি trend খুব বেশি লক্ষ্য করছি, Pakistani inspired/copy products এর একটি বিশাল market তৈরি হয়েছে।
এবং honestly it’s none of our concern। অনেক inspired products দেখতে সুন্দর হয়, অনেকের জন্য এগুলো affordable option এবং তাদেরও একটি বিশাল customer segment রয়েছে। Its totally their own business model and ideology. We do respect each and every business.

কিন্তু inspired/copy product এর price এর সঙ্গে “Authentic Pakistani product” এর price compare করাটা logically fair নয়।

একটা example দিই। ধরুন, Ethnic এর একটি Luxe kaftan এর original price ১৫-২০ হাজার টাকা। একই design inspired করে কোনো পেইজ হয়তো ৪-৬ হাজার টাকায় sell করছে। এমনকি sale এ ২৫০০-৩০০০ টাকাতেও পাওয়া যেতে পারে। That’s completely fine. তাদের market আলাদা, costing আলাদা, sourcing আলাদা এবং business model আলাদা। কিন্তু সেই inspired product এর প্রাইজ দেখে original product এর জন‍্য বলা “ওই page তো এত কমে দিচ্ছে, আপনারা এত বেশি কেন নিচ্ছেন?” এটা unfortunately একটি fair comparison নয়।

আপনি যদি Authentic আর Inspired/Copy এর difference না বোঝেন, তাহলে শুধু প্রাইজ তুলনা করে একজন Authentic সেলার এর costing বা pricing নিয়ে তর্ক করার কোনো ভিত্তি নেই।

আপনার বাজেট/চয়েস যদি inspired product এর সঙ্গে যায়,অবশ্যই সেখান থেকে কিনুন। No hard feelings at all! কিন্তু please, একজন Authentic Pakistani seller এর price কে শুধু একটি copy/inspired product এর price দিয়ে বিচার করবেন না। আমরা জানি অরিজিনাল প্রডাক্ট এর দাম কেন বেশি। আমরা জানি এর পিছনে কতটা investment, risk, weight charge, operational cost এবং পরিশ্রম আছে। তাই inbox এ এসে অন্য page এর price দেখিয়ে unnecessary nagging করার আগে, please make sure you are comparing like with like.

আমরা সাধারণত এসব নিয়ে status দিই না। কিন্তু একই comparison বারবার আসায় আজকে একটু বলা প্রয়োজন মনে হলো।
