Ananda Basanta started it's operation from April 12th, 2009 and within this time it has achieved the position of one of the best branded showroom and sales center of hand-loom in the Dhaka city. The concept of Ananda Basanta is to prove that it is possible to create designs of cloths by using local and traditional fabrics and to promote them in the market with a reasonable price. We have planned t
o expand and establish more showrooms on various areas of Dhaka. Ananda Basanta also planned for expansion of it's branches in other divisional district and abroad. Apart from our business activity; a very appreciable thing about Ananda Basanta is, with profession and also social responsibility and awareness the small producers and creating job opportunities in the country. Ananda Basanta has taken first ever initiative for preservation and expansion of the indigenous products. It feels that despite of a small country, Bangladesh is rich in traditional heritages. But, nowadays traditional heritages are on the verge of extinction. Hence, in order to promote the indigenous arts, crafts, embroidered works; Ananda Basanta has been running the showroom as display & sales center. The showroom is being run in full swing as social business. The local producers and small entrepreneurs are mobilized and encouraged to keep their cottage industries. The sale price of the products is determined considering the capacity of the consumers.
