Yesterday, ellora_collective hosted a zine-making workshop, guided by Tilottama B. , the co- founder of জমায়েত | zmayet
While the core focus was on crafting zines, the session evolved into a profound conversation about our region's fading culinary practices. Together, we experienced a forgotten local dish, 'Chaal Shiddho.'

​Our discussion focused heavily on the power of memory. We spent most of our time exploring how food preserves personal histories, triggers nostalgia, and acts as a lens for looking at gender issues, land politics, oppression, and future aspirations. It was incredible to see how everyone took these deep, memory-driven conversations and poured those distinct personal stories straight into the pages of their zines.

Special thanks to Ireen for preparing everything and keeping us well-fed and refreshed throughout the session.

We are excited to announce our upcoming workshop, "Can we listen to zameen?", a collaborative zine-making workshop and gathering with Tilottoma B.
​This full-day interactive session focuses on exploring ancestral recipes, personal memories, and our relationship with the land. Participants will learn self-publication as a practice—covering everything from narrative drafting and illustration to collaborative editing, scanning, printing, and binding their own zines
