This journal was inspired by rain, but looking at it afterwards, it somehow resembles "The Odyssey".
This was my first time trying Secret Belgium binding. It worked… and didn't work… simultaneously. 😭 It’s sturdy and the journal holds together well, but honestly, the craftsmanship could definitely be improved. Noted for next time.
Perhaps every Odyssey needs a few detours before reaching Ithaca.🤍

Inspired by the rainy season 🌧️🐟
Everyone I showed this journal to disliked the design, but honestly, it’s my favourite of everything I made this month.
I love the rough, sketchy, messy feel, especially because machine embroidery can look so rigid. I was actually quite proud of myself for making something so deliberately random and imperfect.
But what do you think? Do you like the design?

I made this as a gift for a very special person. It’s not available for sale, but it would be a crime not to show this pretty thing. 🐦
I was incredibly picky about the embroidery placement at first and was convinced it looked awful. Looking at it now… it really doesn’t look half as bad.

কিছু সপ্তাহ আগে একটি কাস্টমাইজড অর্ডার করার সুযোগ পেয়েছিলাম। অনেক দিন পর এমন একটি কাজ করতে গিয়ে সত্যিই দারুণ লেগেছিল।

পুরো ডিজাইনটা ছিলো একেবারে প্লেফুল—রঙ, আকার আর স্টাইলে। সবচেয়ে ভালো লাগার বিষয় হলো, কাস্টমারও কাজটা পছন্দ করেছেন। তাদের সন্তুষ্টি আমার কাছে সবচেয়ে বড় প্রাপ্তি।

এই ধরনের অর্ডার সবসময় আমার জন্য বিশেষ। কারণ প্রতিটি ডিজাইন আমাকে নতুন কিছু শিখায়, আর এইবারও ব্যতিক্রম হয়নি। প্রতিবারই মনে হয়—হাতের কাজের ভেতর যতটুকু ভালোবাসা ঢেলে দিই, সেটাই যেন শেষে চোখে ধরা পড়ে।
