TrevTober welcomes the Kodō no Shikisha (Conductor of Heartbeats) to this year’s resonance stage - Zo! & Tall Black Guy feat. Deborah Bond!

Zo! Lorenzo Ferguson, a versatile keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist, was born in the late '70s. He has crafted a unique sound that blends soul and jazz influences from the ‘70s and ‘80s. Tall Black Guy, also known as Terrel Wallace, is a hip-hop producer celebrated for his mellow, sample-based sound rich in atmosphere and musicality.

They are recognized musicians for their innovative contributions to the contemporary R&B and hip-hop scene. Fresh sounds are always a winning choice for them both as individuals, but now imagine them on the same project. To make your imagination interesting - imagine them performing live at this year’s TrevTober with their next-level creations that invoke the genre’s classic sound while pushing forward.

The duo collaborated on the album Abstractions, a nine-track album that was released in 2021. The album seamlessly blends elements of neo-soul, R&B, and hip-hop, showcasing the sonic dream team’s innovative production and composition skills. In 2023 the Deluxe Edition of Abstractions was released, adding five bonus tracks to the original lineup to provide fresh interpretations and new material, enhancing the album’s depth and appeal.

Abstractions feature a host of talented artists, offering listeners a multifaceted musical experience. One of the great artists they feature in the album is Deborah Bond, yes she will be joining them on stage at this year’s wave of sound at TrevTober.

Deborah Bond, a soulful and amazing vocalist hailing from Washington D.C. Deborah Bond is a singer and songwriter who has become a significant figure in the indie-soul music scene - her music blends elements of jazz and adult soul

Listeners have noted the album’s ability to reward repeated listens, with its rich textures and intricate arrangements.
