Every build starts with a conversation, not a spec sheet.

This one began with green. We went back and forth through shades testing, holding swatches, narrowing in until we landed on Rocado green shell cordovan. The shine and depth that varies with every angle making it truly a 1 of 1.

Then the question flipped: what stands up to green without fighting it? Black hatch answered that. Structured, textured, quiet enough to let the shell cordovan do the talking.

Last came thread black linen, chosen specifically not to announce itself. Just enough presence to hold the build together, none to steal the light from the leathers.

Three decisions, one long conversation, one wallet. That’s the build. Each build is an experience and that’s what handmade is all about.

The navy card slots add contrast without competing.

The marks, the grain variation, the oil pull across the surface that’s not imperfection. That’s the leather telling you what it is.

Time and the desire to make every wallet perfect that’s what you’re looking at.

Late post but here it is Horween Shell Cordovan in Color 8 Reverse + Color 8. Catch it in one light and it’s deep. Shift the angle and it softens completely. Truly amazing to work with and an even better carry.
