Hey JOYBOX Friend!
I hope you know today how much YOU MATTER!
I’m currently sitting in a Starbucks, sipping my coffee and reflecting on an experience that happened this summer.
My daughter and I kicked off a shopping date with a visit to Starbucks. When we got to the counter, I spotted a special promo: any size iced coffee and treat for just $5. I asked the barista if I could customize my iced coffee with all the syrups, toppings, and alternative milk options I wanted. She said, “Absolutely!” When she asked what size I wanted, I couldn’t resist going for the Venti since it was the same price as the smallest size! My daughter and I picked a special treat to share, and we both walked out with huge smiles.
As we left, two people by the door commented on my smile and enthusiasm. I JUST HAD to share my incredible deal with them! We ended up having a fun chat about where they were from (they were visiting), and as we said our goodbyes, the gentleman said, “I like you!”
Outside, I shared my great find with more people, sparking some friendly banter and leaving me beaming as I got into the minivan with my daughter to continue our date.
I turned to her and said, “You know, I wouldn’t consider myself a salesperson, but I just told six people about my awesome purchase in five minutes, and it was so much fun!” She looked at me wisely and said, “You LOVE sharing experiences with people. You need to see JOYBOX as an experience that others get to share to bring a smile to someone else’s day because that’s what JOYBOX is—an incredible experience!”
Oh, that girl, she always knows how to lift my spirits at just the right moment! I hope you feel the same enthusiasm from me when I write these emails. I’m just SO EXCITED to share with you an experience that I love and feel is super valuable. Sharing JOY with those around you, unapologetically!
And that’s my lesson from a trip to Starbucks and a moment of reflection with my wise 13-year-old daughter!
