RIP Dale Hawerchuk - A Class Act. - Simply the Best NHL Jet!

The first year that we had season tickets was Hawerchuk's Rookie year.

We had Dale in the store for an autograph session in his 2nd year as a Winnipeg Jet.

Hawerchuk shares a first name with Dale of Ab D Cards. We both got married on the same day, year in Winnipeg and we are both Ukrainian.

Hawerchuk coached a number of players that made it into the NHL

He coached current Jet Mark Scheifele & ex Jet Brendan Lemieux. Also Andrei Svechnikov, Tanner Pearson, Aaron Ekblad, Andreas Athanasiou, Andrew Mangiapane, Kevin Labanc, Mackenzie Blackwood, Joseph Blandisi, Rasmus Andersson, Ben Harpur & possibly others.

Dale Hawerchuk, the leading scorer in the first iteration of the Winnipeg Jets and a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, died at the age of 57 after he had stomach cancer, his son Eric announced over Twitter on Tuesday.
