Our Butterfly Pinning Workshop this past weekend was such an incredible hit that we’ve decided to make at-home butterfly pinning kits available in-store! 🦋✨

These kits were thoughtfully put together by Aries from Wired Creations, who facilitated the workshop, and they include everything you need to create your own beautifully pinned butterfly display at home.

Each $80 kit includes:
🦋 Two butterfly specimens
🛠️ All required pinning tools & supplies
📖 A step-by-step instructional guide
💧 Multiple rehydration method options
✨ Everything needed to complete your own pinning project

It’s a beautiful day in Bowness, and we’re switching things up a little!
We know not everyone can make it in before our usual 6 PM close, so we’re trying out later Thursdays to give more people a chance to stop by after work, after errands, or after life finally slows down for the day. ✨

We opened a little later today so we can stay open later this evening — and we’d love to see you.

Join us on June 28th for our Scorpion Pinning Workshop, led by Aries from Wired Creations. Learn the fascinating art of specimen pinning and preservation in this hands-on experience designed for lovers of oddities, insects, curiosities, and all things beautifully unconventional.

Join us June 21 for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to wrap a cabochon in either a bezel or basket setting using micro macramé techniques.

No experience needed — just patience, curiosity, and a love for handmade things.

These new Tibetan cymbals are such a cool addition to the shop. Traditionally used in meditation, ceremony, and sound work, they have this sharp, grounding tone that somehow feels both energizing and calming at the same time.

Basically… they sound like “leave me alone but spiritually.” 😂
