Although ourselves we are focused on East-European trains, where MSRM founder's roots are from, we also help out with similar causes worldwide as we understand how precious the heritage is. Thus we are spreading the awareness of such topics far and wide regardless of the world locale.
By helping out there might be unexpected help coming in return, regardless of beliefs whether one calls it a Karma or God's blessing.
At MSRM our motivation goes to the Bible, Exodus 20:12 "Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee." where honor extends to valuing the heritage built by ancestors.

We are all set to lose one of Indian Railway's precious heritage asset, the very first WDG 4D locomotive numbered 12681, currently under the holding of Eastern Railway's Diesel Loco Shed Andal (UDLD).
This dual-cabbed diesel locomotive is not just a testament to engineering advancement but also an important piece of rail heritage. The default process dictates that the first locomotive of each class is designated for preservation after completing its service life. However, 12681 is instead slated for export, a decision that risks erasing an irreplaceable chapter of our locomotive legacy.
It symbolizes a significant technological stride for Indian Railways, representing the country's capabilities in producing advanced rail technology. It's more than just a machine; it encapsulates a collective memory and pride for rail enthusiasts and professionals alike. Losing this icon to export would mean losing an artifact that holds educational value and historical significance.
We urge the Ministry of Railways to intervene and ensure that 12681 is preserved within India after the end of it's service life. We already have an established procedure and several heritage parks or Railway Museum where this locomotive can be preserved after the end of it's codal life
By keeping 12681 in India, we demonstrate our commitment to valuing our historical achievements. We call on every train enthusiast, cultural historian, and responsible citizen to support this cause.
Let's ensure Indian Railways' first WDG4D locomotive remains where it belongs, at home, inspiring generations as a cherished piece of our railway heritage. Sign this petition to help preserve locomotive 12681 and keep our history alive for generations to come.
