Fundraising for the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation WE Care Radiothon starts long before we hit the airwaves on Feb 29th.

One of the most ‘talked about’ events for the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation is just around the corner … the WE CARE Radiothon! 2024 is a leap year and on Thursday, February 29th, we, along with presenting sponsor Y95, invite you to take a leap forward with us in support of your regional hospital once again.

Community fundraisers in support of WE CARE Radiothon:

🔔Notice of Public Hearing🔔

Please take notice that the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth intends to consider repealing and replacing its current Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law.

At its regular meeting held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Council approved first reading of the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law with the intent to repeal and replace the current documents.

In accordance with Section 206 of the Municipal Government Act the Council of the Municipality of Yarmouth intends to hold a Public Hearing to consider amending these documents.

The Public Hearing will be held on November 14, 2023, at the Hebron Rotary Centre, 107 Cemetery Rd; Hebron, NS, at 6:30 p.m.

The proposed documents may be viewed by interested persons by visiting https://www.planmody.ca/ or at the Municipal Building between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday up until the day of the public hearing. Fees will be applied for requested printed copies.

All written submissions concerning the purposed amended documents must be submitted to by November 6, 2023 either in person at the Municipal Administration Building or emailed to [email protected] or mailed to Municipality of the District of Yarmouth 932 Highway 1; Hebron, NS B5A 5Z5.

If you wish to speak during the Public Hearing, you will be required to register in advanced by contacting our Municipal Administration office at 902-742-7159 or email [email protected], providing your name, phone number, and email address. The deadline to register is 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 14th. On the day of the Public Hearing you will receive a call and/or email of when it will be your time to speak.
