From the time I was eight years old, I started to get into horses and cattle. I wasn't born in the west but I was definitely raised in the north-western prairies, I was taught to respect animals and not teach them but learn from them. I've ridden horses both english and western, and competed in them as well. I have tried barrel race, reining, team penning, cow cutting, western pleasure, jumping, e
nglish pleasure, roping, endurance, ultimate trail challenge, etc. I was in 4H Light Horse club for a number of years and being in it really got my start on horsemanship. I have currently been riding horses for over ten years and am learning something new every day that I'm around animals. I am a rodeo gal with a passion for barrel racing, working cattle, and helping horses! Training horses is a talent I acquired through my frustration with correcting the undesirable behaviors in the finished horses I was buying. After learning to ride over the years, I became obsessed with helping young horses, who had never been touched; teaching them the foundation of western horsemanship, and fostering them into quality performance prospects. My style is tailored to encourage them to demonstrate unity, confidence, and a desire to please by employing a method focused on trust, confidence, and communication. I also try to carry these qualities within my riding students, teaching them that not only with these qualities that they will succeed in their riding and horsemanship but also in day to day life situations. With time, patinece, and determination, you can do anything you set your mind too.
