Instead of managing the forests, creating viable, diverse industries, employing thousands of people across various spectrum of industry, building homes, creating a profitable industry, nope, lets just all watch it all go up in smoke, shut down mills and industry, create ghost towns,"sing cm by ya", spend billions fighting fires with all your tax dollars... Makes Totally, Rational, Canadian Human Common Sense... It's called human progress in 2026... Then we'll import lumber to rebuild all the homes burnt to the ground by the masses of fires raging across the landscape... Yup, total Canadian common sense at work once again... Keep electing the same officials to manage, and you'll end up with the same results, just a heaping pile of ashes and endless summers filled with smoke for the months of summer, yes, we all like it, right... :) Just keep smiling and repeating, "the steak is well done", we won't have anything medium here, eh... Lets just burn it all to the ground... The one thing it does do, employs a whole lot of firefighters, great investment, that's how we do it here in Canada, let's just all in-roll in firefighting school, we need more, again, total common sense, we know where to put your hard earned tax dollars to work, and we'll just have lots of massive all summer free wiener roasts, I like it, eh, free campfires for my wieners, don't have to pay $10.00 a bundle for some sticks from Canadian Tire anymore, come on ya all, progress... ( In all seriousness, my heart goes out to ya all who lost all your homes and possessions, and for some, tragic loss of life) We can do much better, with better tools and light bulbs elected into office... As a wood/tree carpenter would say, think twice, vote once, make the right choice in thoughtful measurements makes a house stand straight and tall and lasts a lifetime, built with good ya all Canadian lumber that ashes can't produce...
