Don’t choose a diamond by the certificate alone.
Look at the stone itself.
Turn it from different angles and check:
Is the crystal clean and transparent?
Does it look milky or hazy?
Is there any brown or grey tone?
Are the facets sharp, balanced and clearly defined?
Does the light move cleanly through the stone?
A good diamond should look clear, bright and crisp — not cloudy.
For Hearts & Arrows cutting, don’t just read the grading report. Look at whether the facet pattern is actually clean and symmetrical when the stone moves.
This is how you really inspect a diamond:
Transparency.
Crystal quality.
No milky or brown appearance.
Clean cutting.
Then check the certificate.
