Starting next Friday, June 19th, I'll be bringing the fresh-cut CSFF bouquets you know + love to the Burnham Family Farm Market in Cobourg every Friday!

Peony season means I up my daily field walks from two times per day to four so I don't miss a stem! This morning's walk through our Etched Salmon patch was the perfect example of the varying levels of ripeness I watch for - catching our peonies in the correct stage is crucial for cold storage, but also so that you, my lovely local customers, get the best vase life out of this precious flower!

Here's a behind the scenes look at how I protect our Ranuculus crop in the hoophouse on my micro flower farm. Ranunculus like being established in cooler weather, but in zone 5b, spring heats up so quickly - which means they need a little extra babysitting. 🥵

Our strawberry season is still a few weeks away, but we wanted to announce that this year’s Strawberry Days festival will be on June 27 & 28 from 10am-4pm.

More details to follow, but we say that you will be able to enjoy the same family fun atmosphere with games, wagon rides, strawberry picking, and more!
