Beadwork by Michela Carriere of Cumberland House, Sk, in the Heart of the Saskatchewan River Delta! My name is MIchela Carriere. I am a shy and quiet artist.

I am an adventuresome, outdoorsy woman. I love nature, plants and animals. I was homeschooled in a remote cabin with no electricity and running water. I have lived my whole life on the Saskatchewan river. I own my own jewelry company, Aski Beadworks. I make clothing, jewelry, and art. My most popular products are moccasins, earrings and necklaces.

Happy 100th birthday to my Kookum Josie, She left us 1 year ago! She was my adventure and beadwork inspiration! I love this photo my sister posted. back in the sled dog days! She was an amazing host, cook, story-teller, beadwork, businesswoman, mother, granny, Kookum, sports fan, and hunter! I miss her everyday and love her so much, her spirit lives on in me.

I'm still pinching myself for being on my all-time favorite show ALONE! Can't wait for all of you to watch this rollercoaster with me! Oh, and wait until you meet the epic gang of wild and crazy cast members! Feeling like the luckiest lady to have joined forces with this amazing bunch of stars. Hands down, one of the wildest rides of my life! Don’t forget to mark your calendars for June 13 @ 9/8 c for the premiere of Season 11.

Deluxe beaver mitts for sale! I harvested these beavers myself 🌿👍 I am very proud woman Metis cree trapper. This is sustainable, Fairtrade, small business, woman powered entrepreneur product! 💕🌲Lined with rabbit and sheepskin. Warmest mitts you can get. I went to Robertsons Trading Post in La Ronge and Scott himself appraised my mitts at least 500$ value, and 700$ for the smoked moose hide pair.

The anti-fur people will probably have something to say but as a northern Indigenous person they just don't understand our way of life and how fur is a truly sustainable product ESPECIALLY when the end product is manufactured by our people. No plastic products used here!

I've been focusing so much on recovery for Aski Holistic Adventures that I haven't had much time for beadwork. But more coming soon! I often do more beadwork in winter season when the days get colder and darker and I like being in the warm fire heated cabin! This flower I beadworked reminds me of a fire flower!
