Hi everyone — welcome to For the Birds 💜🐦☺️

I thought I’d make a little first post to introduce myself and share why I started this tiny business.

I’ve always loved creating things that feel thoughtful, cozy, and a little bit whimsical. Several years ago, I bought my first home and one of my favourite things about living here has been being so close to Lois Hole Provincial Park! Being surrounded by so much wildlife and hearing birds constantly in the yard definitely made me appreciate the little things a lot more.

Somewhere between slinging vodka sodas behind the bar at night and the office grind during the day has somehow driven me in to grandma-esque hobbies as many of you that know me- know. 😅 I started making bird seed wreaths as a creative outlet (cue the Snow White music — haha). Turns out there’s something oddly therapeutic about making little snacks for the neighbourhood birds after spending weekends in loud bars. What started as a fun, little hobby quickly became something I genuinely loved sharing with people (and apparently the birds are pretty into it too).

So “For the Birds” was born — a small handmade business creating decorative bird seed wreaths that are both beautiful and functional. Every wreath is made to order with care, and I love that they act as a little gift back to nature while also adding something unique to your outdoor space.
