Our most popular plant of 2025 was undoubtedly, the mimosa sensitive plant! Yes, its true that when you touch the leaves they all close up tightly, as well as when night falls. This incredible little plant even drew people in, thinking that the blue jacaranda with its similar fine leaves. To see people poking a plant and staring at it, to most would seem a little off, but we knew exactly what they were looking for.

Spring is here and a new batch for 2026 is off to a fabulous start!

Calling all vine lovers!!
These magical looking flowers are the gems that give us the exotic passionfruit!
It really is a unique and almost unreal looking plant that happens to not only look beautiful but also gives us fruit that yes can be eaten. Starting these vines can be a challenge but once they get going, they can get pretty big, pretty quick.

A Season of Extraordinary Growth!

2025 was our year of trial and error—a time for testing the waters and grabbing life by the horns to reclaim our narrative. But 2026? This year is about Growth, and we have some incredible news to share!
Since our last post, we’ve learned that Twigg (Akayla) is growing something very special of her own. In September 2026, a brand-new little sprout will be joining the Olive&Twigg family! 🩷

What does this mean for our boutique?
It simply means we have more to love and more to create. While Twigg takes this sacred time to nurture her family, I (Olive) have been getting creative behind the scenes. We are finding new ways to bring you the "stunning and hard-to-find" while evolving as a lifestyle brand.
Our Home Base:
Olive&Twigg is where you will find what you won't find anywhere else. While plants, flowers, and unique gifts will always be our heart, we are officially leaning into our 2026 theme: We are growing, too. Expect a curated variety of items that cater to the diverse, beautiful lifestyles of our community. We aren't just a shop; we are a destination for the rare and the regal.
Thank you to everyone who follows our journey and inspires us to keep creating. The garden is getting bigger, and the best is yet to come.

Our first batch of seeds have been prepped, tucked in and warming!! Some of these seeds will pop up in the next few weeks, others could take longer, and some might fail altogether, but the process of starting a plant from seed is a rewarding experience that brings knowledge and awareness of different places all around the world and the beauty they each hold.
We love being able to give glimpses into some rare, exotic, and beautiful plants and flowers that are out there just waiting to be found.🩷🌿🪴

The tropicals are cleaned up and ready to start making their way to spring! From propagates, to plant pups, and already growing plants, these next few weeks we will be adding our inventory to our website, where you will be able to look around at what we have, and be able to purchase from our shop directly. In addition to getting our website ready for launch we are also busy planting seeds for this upcoming spring and summer with some of the most beautiful flowers and vines we've ever seen.

With the rise of biophilic design, reconnecting with nature, or old and new plant varieties becoming increasingly available, it can be difficult to be sure of the correct identification of a plant variety, and if its a rare find or just another doppelganger. Having the correct identification is important to us for the growth and health of our plants and flowers, and for trust and transparency to our customers. Growing from seed has allowed us to experience plants and flowers we otherwise would not have, and allows us to offer stunning and unique plants and flowers you won't find at your local greenhouse or garden center.

Some plants and flowers just simply can't be grown from seed without proper equipment and use of chemical compounds. You could have some imported, but it's pricey, take your chances on Etsy, or wait for the commercial greenhouses to release some gems along with look-a-likes and take your chances there. (Sometimes you'd be suprised)
Our passion is all things plants and flowers, so we've been working on growing a collection of unique, and highly sought-after tropicals you'll be excited for and to discover some you've never seen!

Growing rare and unique plants and flowers from seed is not only therapeutic but it increases Agrobiodiversity, and our knowledge of species diversity, something pretty important in today's world. For those who just really do not have a green thumb, we are starting a variety of starter plants that will be available this spring, as well as pre-made arrangements for those who love the look but don't have the time or know-how to use plants and flowers to create beautiful spaces or a tranquil oasis.

This time of year, we are busy getting seeds ready and started for the spring and summer ahead leaving some time for us to enjoy the tropicals!! When its cold and white outside, it sure is nice to see lush green foliage while waiting for the seedlings, and for springs burst of color. This year we will be adding to out tropical collection with many actually grown from seed right here in our greenhouse. If its rare, variegated or just simply beautiful, we may have a gem you are looking for. 🌴
