The Urgent Plastic Crisis

Plastic was only introduced to the modern world in the 1950s and since then, 8.3 BILLION Metric tons of plastic have been produced. Each year, it has become increasingly difficult to avoid single use plastics in our every-day lives. Plastic straws, plastic wrap, plastic shopping bags; Plastic is everywhere. The convenience of plastic has taken over our planet in every possible way, but change needs to happen... Now.

The Direction We are Taking

Thankfully, there is change on the horizon. Waste-free stores are popping up across the world, more people are choosing plant-based lifestyles, cities are banning single-use plastics, and the term “Zero- waste” is more commonly discussed. Our planet does not need a handful of people living waste-free perfectly, what our planet needs is millions of people putting in the effort. All we need is the proper education and guidance to reach our goals of reducing waste; which is where I come in.
