Today… at the Writers of the Realm Literary Festival! 📚✨

Attending this festival took me down memory lane, back to when I took my very first step towards becoming an author.

The journey wasn’t an easy one. There were challenges, uncertainties, and moments when the dream felt so far away. But one thing was certain: I was determined to make that dream a reality. And today, I’m forever grateful that I kept going.

Today, I showed up as the only Black author in the room. I made meaningful connections, opened doors to new partnerships, and, of course, signed and sold copies of my book, Finding Me Through the Pages. What a beautiful full-circle moment! ❤️

If you’re carrying a dream in your heart, this is your reminder to take the next step, no matter how small. Keep learning. Keep showing up. Keep doing the work. You may not see the whole path yet, but every intentional step brings you closer to making that dream a reality.

Today, I’m not just celebrating a book. I’m celebrating the courage to begin and the determination to keep going.

📚✨ NEW BRUNSWICK BOOK LOVERS, AUTHORS & LITERARY ENTHUSIASTS… This one is for YOU!

The Writers of the Realm Literary Festival — the largest literary festival in New Brunswick — is happening this Saturday, September 19th, and I’m excited to be attending as the only Black author from New Brunswick among this year’s featured authors. 💃💃

It’s a full-day celebration of books and storytelling, with local authors, writing workshops, author panels, a bookish scavenger hunt, shopping and lots more.

And of course, I’ll be there with my book - Finding Me Through the Pages! 🥰

Come by my stand to meet & greet, chat with me, grab a signed copy, take some pictures, and just enjoy a beautiful bookish day together.

What started as an idea has grown into a community of readers, learners, dreamers, and people passionate about the power of books.

From conversations to book clubs, learning sessions, conferences, and countless pages turned together, every milestone has been made possible because YOU chose to read with us.

To every member, reader, facilitator, partner, volunteer, author, and supporter who has been part of this journey — thank you. ❤️

We are grateful for where we have been, excited about where we are going, and even more excited about the lives and communities we will continue to impact.
