🏕️ The camping season may be winding down, but these are the moments we enjoy most.

Sitting around the fire, slowing things down and spending some time with the kids is exactly what getting outdoors is supposed to be about. 🔥

This summer gave us the opportunity to get Aurora Outdoors into the field, test our equipment, learn what works and continue validating the idea behind the business.

There is still plenty of work happening behind the scenes before we are ready.

But next year?

Aurora Outdoors officially launches. 🌲🏕️

We are looking forward to helping more families across Northern Ontario spend less time worrying about camping gear and more time making memories like these.

Another step forward for Aurora. 🎈🏕️

One of the biggest priorities while building Aurora Events and Aurora Outdoors has been validation. Not just assuming we know what local families want, but testing ideas, learning, gathering feedback and building around real needs.

Today we added two more guides to the Aurora Blog.

The blog's goal is the same as the rest of Aurora. Provide useful information, answer real questions and make planning family experiences a little simpler.

It is also another way for us to keep validating both sides of the business as we learn what families across Greater Sudbury and Northern Ontario are searching for, asking about and planning.

Plenty is still being built behind the scenes, but seeing Events and Outdoors come together under one Aurora website is an exciting milestone. Once we gain more validation, it will be a separate company, but for now, this makes it much easier!

We’re still putting Aurora Outdoors to the test! 🏕️

Before we officially launch anything, we want to make sure the equipment we offer is practical, reliable, and actually works well during a real camping weekend
That means more field testing, more meals cooked outside, more nights in the tents, and figuring out what works and what needs to change.

We’re taking our time with this one. The goal is simple: when Aurora Outdoors is ready to launch, we want families to be able to pack their clothes and food, head to the campground, and have the essential camping gear taken care of.

More testing to come. 👀🏕️

Another event in the books and another backyard ready for some serious fun! 🎪

Our Red & Yellow Combo Castle was out for the day, giving the kids plenty of room to bounce, play and hit the slide.

A little research looks better when it comes with a campfire. 🌲🏕️

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been conducting preliminary research and exploring ideas for a potential new business venture focused on outdoor experiences in Northern Ontario.

This weekend at Chutes Provincial Park gave me the chance to experience things firsthand....setting up camp, testing different gear, cooking outdoors, exploring the trails and falls, and thinking about what makes camping enjoyable… and what can make it intimidating for someone who hasn’t done it before.

There’s still plenty of research and learning ahead, but Northern Ontario has an incredible amount to offer, especially for people who may want to experience the outdoors but don’t necessarily know where to start.

For now, I’m exploring, testing and learning. 🌲
