ShopCloseBuy was an initiative created by TechnicalitiesPlus in response to the challenges of the pandemic. Our goal was to support community organizations to enhance their online presence and, ultimately, to keep valuable dollars in our own community. The support of many local organizations and individuals enabled us to run this online platform for the past few years, and we appreciate everyone who embarked on this journey with us.

Times have changed (thankfully) and our community continues to thrive.

As 2024 comes to an end, we've decided that the ShopCloseBuy platform is no longer necessary and the site has been taken down.
We want to thank everyone for their support.
We are focusing our efforts in supporting non profits and charities via our online auction platform, https://www.facebook.com/nonprofitbidding/

We're currently running 2 auctions in support of local charities. The Women's Business Network of Peterborough is running an auction in support of Peterborough Haliburton YWCA's safe spaces and shelters for women, and Kids Against Hunger Canada is supporting One Million Meals Peterborough's drive against hungry children and families. Both are great causes, and both auctions have unique items and experiences that would make great Christmas gifts!
