People often think that the PRICE OF A QUILT seems quite expensive and I don't disagree. Quilting is not a money maker for sure; It's a passion like art. I'm lucky if I make $6 per hour!
Most bedding you buy in a store today is not made of 100% cotton which is one of the main reasons why its inexpensive! Pure cotton lets your body breath while keeping it warm at the same time: it can be used all year round. A properly made quilt will last a life time and also 100% recyclable for those of you who care about your environmental footprint.
To cut cost, I can minimize the free motion quilting (free handed stitching which holds the three layers together and gives it texture).
