I just love this story from Regional Vice President Kait Grey-Jones 🥰👇🏻
11 years ago, I sat in a coffee shop with and hesitantly told her that if this business could actually work for me, my goal was to be the Mom going on all the school trips with my future kiddos. To have the freedom to say yes, no matter what. I was 25. But I had clear vision. I didn’t start Arbonne for my 25 year old self. I started for the person I knew I wanted to become. And the flexibility I knew I wanted to have.
Well…..the business actually worked (slash I actually worked the business), and today I WAS the Mom on Violet’s first ever school trip to Wildwood Conservation Area with her sweet little JK class. The moment hit me like a ton of bricks. I had come full circle.
As I drove up behind the school bus, I sent my two mentors a voice note and (through tears) thanked them for the gift they had given me. In my heart, I thank them every single day but sometimes I remember the importance of saying it to them out loud. They. Changed. My. Life.
We had such a great morning and now I’m going to go work my business for a couple of hours. Because I want to be that person for others. I want to offer the gift of choice, because I believe there is nothing more powerful than that. And knowing that I am capable of making a difference, the way Alex and did for me- that kind of work is beyond rewarding and I know I’d be selfish to just sit on it. Have a beautiful day, my friends! (And if you’re in this industry and appreciate your mentor, send them a little love note today. Asking you to take a look took courage. It can be scary and uncomfortable but their belief was stronger than their fear. And that’s an amazing thing).
