Join Same Boat Theatre for the latest installment of our play reading series, Dispatches, at Last Supper Books.

Inspired by a fugitive slave advertisement found in a colonial newspaper in Quebec in 1785, “Unwanted” by Melissa Murray-Mutch, follows two runaways: an enslaved mixed-race man described in the ad as a “mulatto,” the other an Irish carpenter fleeing indentured servitude. Both are wanted men escaping an authority determined to control them and their future.

Doors at 7pm, Reading at 730pm.
