A (Not-So) Gentle Reminder
This has been communicated time and time again, yet we continue to experience an increase in unsolicited sales pitches in-store.
Our priority is providing our customers with the best possible experience while managing the many responsibilities that come with running a business. Whether we’re assisting shoppers, preparing the store for the day, processing invoices, or managing daily operations, our time and our team’s time are valuable.
If you come into the store to solicit or pitch a book, product, or service, please understand that we are not available for these conversations. We do not conduct business this way, and unsolicited pitches made during store hours will not be considered. Continuing to push a pitch after being asked to stop will result in being asked to leave.
We are always happy to support our community and discover new products and opportunities through the appropriate channels. However, showing up unannounced and expecting us to set aside our responsibilities to hear a sales pitch is not appropriate, nor is it respectful of our time or our team.
We shouldn’t have to keep reiterating this boundary, but given the recent increase in in-store solicitation, we feel it needs to be said again.
Please respect our space, our time, and our team.
