💙 At Filthy Good Beauty, we're not just passionate about skincare; we're committed to creating positive change. A portion of our proceeds goes to charities supporting women and children affected by sexual violence. Skincare shouldn't just be about self-love; it's also about spreading love to those who need it most. Follow along with us to see which organization we support each quarter.
💙Sexual assault was the only violent crime type for which the victimization rate remained relatively stable/increased since 1999, while the 2014 rates for both physical assault and robbery were significantly lower… (1, 2)
💙Relative to physical abuse, sexual abuse during childhood was less frequently reported by Canadians. However, it seems to have had an even larger impact on experiences of violent victimization in adulthood; the victimization rate was more than 3 times higher among those who were sexually abused as children than among those who were not.
