📚 We love buying your books… but please don’t make us ban you from selling them to us. 😂📖

We love giving books their next chapter, but not every book is a good fit for our shelves!

Here’s a quick refresher on what we’re looking for:

📖 Books published in 2015 or newer

💕 Romance, Dark Romance, Fantasy, Thrillers, popular BookTok titles, and children’s books!

✨ Books in excellent, resale-ready condition — no damage, stains, excessive wear, or missing pages.

📅 Buying days: Wednesdays & Fridays, 11 AM–2 PM.

💰 What we offer: Up to 30% of our resale value in cash or 40% in store credit, depending on the books.

A few friendly (but firm) reminders:

🌸 We reserve the right to decline ANY books that don’t meet our buying criteria.

🌸 Offers are based on USED resale value, not what you originally paid.

🌸 Our staff deserve kindness and respect. Aggressive, abusive, or disrespectful behaviour will result in a refusal of service, including future book selling privileges.

We’re a small, locally owned bookstore, and our team works hard to keep our shelves full of books our community loves.

I was lucky enough to ARC read The Villain by C.E. Boyle, and it did not disappoint!

It’s been wonderful watching C.E. Boyle’s writing grow and mature. There’s something so special about seeing our indie authors develop their craft!

This story follows a grumpy hockey player and a badass middle school teacher who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. I loved their character development, chemistry, and witty banter!

It was so refreshing to have a strong FMC who stands up for herself and her friends, challenges her MMC, and gives as good as she gets!

In light of the recent fire at CFB Wainwright, our thoughts are with everyone affected and the brave individuals who responded.

As Remembrance Day approaches, we’ve decided to begin our appreciation event a little early this year.

From October 22 through November 11, Next Chapter Books will be offering 10% off in-store purchases to:

We recognize that behind those who serve are families who make sacrifices of their own.
