Here are some more snows, they are so fast! I had the camera ready, took off the lid and they sprung out like a prank Can 'O Snakes. I imagine they will calm down after eating their first meal this weekend as they have almost all had their first shed.

Interesting genetics, I can see some motley traits, tessera, and motley tessera from the same father that produced stripe in another clutch I have yet to post. Motley and stripe are recessive genes, so I've learned lots about the hidden genes present and not present in the male and 3 females that bred this season. Lovely surprises.

Their morph is called snow tessera, some may be coral snow tessera.

I definitely was not expecting this so soon. In late March Rufus was acting restless so Rolan and I made her a lay box using a shallow bin, hydrated coconut husk and a hide but I wasn't expecting her to need it until May because for the last 5 years that is when she laid her eggs. This year she laid then In the first week of April, I almost didn't notice them in time as they were starting to get dry when I found them.

I immediately prepped them for incubation using a sterilized bin with holes and a lid and hydrated vermiculite as substrate. They are looking very healthy now.

I expect them to hatch in June and to have beautiful baby corn snakes ready for their new homes by July/August.

I will try to get photos and videos of them peeping to share so keep a look out in June!
