Poor man's teak. Actually do not know the type of wood, got the boards in a bundle purchase, but it's a soft hardwood and easy to work.

This is my retro design, a prototype using flat sides with rails and pocketed fabric thru slits with dowels.

Stayed tuned for the next edition with arms, less pointy back tops, and the fabric wrapping over the top of the side rail, then back in thru the sleeve with duels on the inside underneath.

It's so effin cozy - big man's chair.
