Just want to post and say our switch over to prepay for cash / pay at the pump with credit/debit has been well received and we thank our customers for their understanding and co-operation. It is sad that the actions of a few gas and go without paying prompted this action.
And I would like to advise we have diesel for now but if it goes any higher we will stop offering it at our location. Just regular, Plus and supreme until the insane prices stabilize . Once again thank you for your co-operation and we appreciate your business.

Well I see the Government of Newfoundland have become proactive and taken steps to help their electorate and reduce the gas tax the Province charges . If I recall correctly the Orovibce of NS was going to do much the same thing but all that was was talk, nothing more. It is disgraceful and shows our provincial government is out of touch with its electorate and the suffering these high prices have done.
There was talk of a 90 day suspension but that is all it was is talk like most promises. This government is acting more like a caretaker government as opposed to a governing body and I personally feel they are out of touch with reality in this regard. Mr Houston if you are the leader of this province then lead. 15 cents a liter fir 90 to 120 days will not hurt. It is eveidenced by the condition of the roads and with only $600 million allocated fir highways expenditures this year it is obvious you are using the gas tax and Share if the GST you collect to go to other things.that is not leadership. That is negligence. Do the right thing and suspend the gas tax fir 90 to 120 days. It might also help tourism too as it is my opinion this could have been a big summer but the high price of gas could kill what might have been in this regard. And this should be shared until it gets done atrention

Well I would like to announce with the high price of gas we have decided reluctant to go to a pre pay only position at Happy Landing Irving in Blockhouse. In other words you have to pay with debit or credit at the available pumps with the insertion of your cards. However if you want to pay with cash you have to come in and prepay before we will activate your pump to pump gas. We are being proactive here to eliminate the gas and go or drive offs.it is a little less convenient but unfortunately one or two spoil it for everyone. I have to remind myself Thst anyone who travels in the USA YOU HAVE TO PREPAY AT ALMOST ALL GAS STATIONS . In BC a customer told me it has been in place fir about 10 years and at lot of stations in major cities have and are doing the same. Drive offs at a small independent are much more impactful then it is to the larger chain locations so this has necessitated this action due to the astronomical increase in gas. And o cnce again I thank our customers old and new for their understanding. And continued patronage.We value your business.

Well I made a decision I was not going to support this crazy price gouging fir diesel fuel so effective immediately we will not be offering diesel until this insanity intends. I mean give me a break. It is gouging not by the retailer but by the big oil. Bigger then me and I hate the fact people have to spend so much which takes very little to refine. The excuse is the war in Ukraine. I call “ foul”. We do not import oil from
Russia because of the embargo on Oil not do we get it from the Ukraine. So rather then participate in this gouging I have chose not to add to the demand by selling duesel right now. I know it will be an inconvenience for done but I feel I have to see more normal proving befire I sell it sgsin..my apologies the inconvenience this caused people

Well we went for over two years and escaped the wrath of Covid until now but due to exposures the business closed on Saturday night with two people out due to exposures to the dreaded scourge. So to protect our customers and staff we are closed until further notice. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

With the impending storm and no Bell Alaint internet service since Sunday morning we are closing at 3 pm today. I apologize but without internet we cannot process any airmiles or credit cards , debit cards or fleet cards or air miles. It is cash only and we are losing a lot of customers as a result . Thanks to Bell skinny this essential device is closing .
