Hard to believe it, but our last day for our showroom is Sunday December 7th. We’re busy planning celebrations for our final weekend with a Friday night gala and other events all weekend long. Stay tuned!

We are safe and sound after the storm last weekend !
The highway to the shop is completely open . Monday through Friday 9-4:30 and Saturdays 10-4.

WE’RE OPEN! We have had some nasty weather. Despite washouts south of us on hwy 630, the road to our Pottery Shop is in excellent condition. We have just completed a run of mugs and they are now in our showroom. This is our retirement year so take the open lane around the “road closed” sign and come visit us for a last chance to pick up some Maxwell Pottery. Open Monday through Saturday all summer long. Open Canada day.

Our summer retirement sale has us running off our feet. A very popular corner is the “ BOO BOO room” where you will find great deals on slightly imperfect pottery. Bet you can’t find the boo boo! Open Mon. to Fri. 9:00 to 4:30 and Sat. 10:00 to 4:00.

A special announcement from Jodi and Dan Maxwell.

Dear Friends,

It’s Jodi here from Maxwell Pottery — and I’m writing today with some big news, a little nostalgia, and a whole lot of gratitude.

After over 30 wonderful years of welcoming you into our studio and showroom, Dan and I have decided that 2025 will be our final year operating the Maxwell Pottery showroom. We’ll be closing the doors at the end of December — but don’t worry, this isn’t goodbye. It’s simply a new chapter.

This decision didn’t come easy, but we’re both really looking forward to slowing down a little, spending more time together and with our family, and reflecting on everything this incredible journey has brought us.

We’ll be celebrating throughout the summer and fall with in-store specials, one-of-a-kind pieces, and a few surprises, just to say thank you for being part of our story.

If you’ve ever visited us, shared a kind word, brought home a handmade mug, or simply followed along with our story — we appreciate you more than you know. You’ve helped us live our dream.

So here’s to this final showroom season — we hope to see you sometime this year!

In 1991, Jodi and Daniel Maxwell returned to their roots in Northern Ontario and started their family pottery business.

With Daniel’s creative mastery and Jodi’s business acumen, Maxwell Pottery produces beautiful and contemporary designs that are equal parts artistic and functional.

Daniel studied at Sheridan College School of Craft and Design and worked there for 9 years, honing his skills and perfecting his craft. He attributes his pride in his craftsmanship and tasteful use of colour to his time spent there.
