Just a little about how this came to be! Dalton (Dewey) Rowland and Myself Jill (Hummel) Rowland both graduated from ERHS. Dewey in 1988 and myself in 1989. Last year during the alumni tournament, there was a lot of talk about how that would be the last time the Alumni was held in the ERHS gym. That's when I came up with this crazy idea to do something with the gym floor. We made some phone calls and the plan was set in motion. We had no idea what we had just started, no idea how we would get the floor out, no idea what we would make, or how to make them. But we did it anyways. Mid January we were given the go ahead to take the floor out. We had a plan in place and sent out a few messages for help from friends and family. The first day was spent on figuring out how to get the floor up. The original plan was not going to work so we had to shift plans and start chipping away at it. Over the next 4 days we spent many hours in the gym, had many friends and family step up and help out and we were able to get the floor out and make some great memories doing it. Since then we have spent many many many hours pulling nails out of the wood and working with a friend to learn how to make a few things.
