This week in the Garden:

Autumn is our favourite season for florals and I think it shows, this is us at our best, wild, unruly, textural 🌾🤎

We’re cutting sunflowers every morning 🌻🌞

We had our first of many events this month, grateful for all the folks who gather to learn and create here.

Our market bouquets are September in flower form.

We grew an amaranth jungle and I will never be over it.

If you like your flowers a little less ordinary come visit us at The Secret Garden 🗝️🌾

We’re experiencing a little bit of the annual August flower farmer burn-out but still so grateful for our relationship with flowers and Mother Nature. The girls and I talk often about the blessings this relationship with flowers has given us.

Most flower shops meet their flowers the day they arrive in a delivery box but we’ve known ours since they were seeds.

We know them as seeds we plant into the soil week after week, as little starts we nurture over months and then beautiful blooms we’re lucky enough to harvest every morning. Growing flowers is a practice in gratitude, patience and resilience. It doesn’t always go our way, sometimes Mother Nature has other plans like yesterday’s hail!! but when the planning, the timing and the weather aligns it’s pure magic ✨🌸🌻
