🐴 Why Choose a Hackamore? 🐴

A hackamore is a bitless bridle that applies pressure to the nose, chin, and poll instead of the mouth.

🐴 Bit Basics: Understanding Mouth Pressure from Bits 🐴

Not all bits work the same! Different designs apply pressure to different areas of your horse's head and mouth.

🔹 Poll Pressure – Pressure applied to the top of the horse's head through the bridle, encouraging the horse to soften and lower its head.

🔹 Bar Pressure – Pressure on the bars of the mouth (the toothless area between the incisors and molars). Many bits use bar pressure as a primary aid.

🔹 Tongue Pressure – Pressure distributed across the tongue. Some horses prefer more tongue relief, while others are comfortable with gentle tongue contact.

Every horse is different, so choosing the right bit depends on your horse's anatomy, training, and individual preferences—not just the discipline you ride.
