Cerwin-Vega R-123 crossovers were next in line to get an upgrade. Like the S1s I did, it features Jantzen EleCap lytics and MOX resistors on the mids, and Obbligato Silv series feeding the tweeters, though in this case much more direct.

Cerwin-Vega S1 crossover upgrade spree. These four (two pairs) were done at the same time so grouping the project.

Tweeters were upgraded to Jantzen Cross-Cap film, while the mids were fed in series by Jantzen Elecap NPE & Jantzen MOX resistors, along with an Obbligato Silv series film in the circuit.

All four were complete tear downs with entirely new high quality caps and resistors, all pots checked out and matched in pairs (one was replaced entirely), and protection circuits cleaned up (also one got replaced).

Spinning Iced Earth's self titled debut today, released in 1990. Amazing album and my favorite of theirs. Granted, the speakers are from 1992 so I have to apologize for being so modern.
