Hi! I'm Jess, the owner of Feather & Fable Thrift Co. Located here on beautiful Vancouver Island.
Since I was a teenager, retail has been a huge part of my life. What I always loved most was the people; building teams, creating connections, and helping others feel confident in what they wear.
After spending over 20 years in retail management, I began seeing the other side of the industry too; overconsumption, waste, and how quickly perfectly good clothing gets discarded. It changed the way I viewed fashion and shopping entirely.
That’s why I started Feather & Fable Thrift Co.
I wanted to use my experience in a way that feels more meaningful all while helping beautiful pieces find a second life, encouraging mindful shopping, and creating a business rooted in community, sustainability, and intention.
Every thrifted piece recirculated is one less item contributing to landfill waste, and every conscious purchase matters more than people think.
Giving back has always been important to me, which is why I regularly donate to organizations like Big Brothers & Sisters, Nanaimo Hospice, and the Nanaimo Hospital Auxiliary.
What started as an idea has grown into something I’ve been building with heart for over 2 years now. I’m also a wife to my best friend, a mom to a beautiful little girl, and we share our home with 3 rescue dogs 🤍 The love for my family, my community, and the planet, along with the freedom of building something meaningful of my own continues to be the driving force behind Feather & Fable.
