As we wrap up our summer market season, we really just want to say thank you. 🤎

Every person who stopped by our booth, chose something handmade, shared our posts, told a friend about us, or simply came over to say hello has been part of this summer with us.

Your support has helped us push past ideas we once only talked about. It’s helped us keep creating, keep dreaming, and keep showing up. And now we’re heading into fall with new ideas, new products, and so much more we’re excited to create. 🍂✨

I designed it on my computer… and a few mins later I was holding it in my hand. 🙌

We’ve been learning a whole new process in our little Vancouver Island studio, designing and sublimating our own MagSafe phone cases one at a time. I think watching that press open might be my new favourite part. 😂

This strawberry design was one of the first and I’m a little obsessed with how it turned out. Let us know what you think 🤍

We clearly can’t pick one either. 😂

Tonight is the LAST Summer by the Sea Street Market of the season in Parksville, and we’re bringing all the Bramble & Bay favourites with us. Quilted bags, book sleeves, totes, little accessories, candles, wax melts and more, all made by us in our little Vancouver Island studio.

Your market booth is part of your brand before anyone ever picks up a product. 🌿

We get asked all the time where we find the pieces we use in our Bramble and Bay market setup, so we’re sharing a few of our favourites.

Our collapsible shelving came from Amazon, our tent weights are from Wayfair, and our wooden display risers are another Amazon find. For the pieces that give our booth a little more character, we shop HomeSense and thrift stores. Our candle holders were actually a Just Thrift Nanaimo find.

One thing we’ve learned from selling at farmers markets and artisan markets on Vancouver Island is that your display doesn’t have to be expensive or made from traditional retail fixtures. Mixing practical market equipment with thrifted and unexpected pieces can make a small business booth feel warm, recognizable and completely your own.

The strawberry tote got a little glow-up 🍓

Same sweet print, but our tote has come a long way. The NOW version has three pockets — two inside and one outside — plus a zipper closure across the top to keep everything tucked safely inside.

It’s still the same handmade strawberry tote at heart, just with more structure, more storage and those practical little details that make an everyday bag easier to actually use. 🧵

There’s something pretty special about looking back at where we started and seeing how much our sewing and designs have grown.
