2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the first skateboard contest in British Columbia. To celebrate the occasion, we are holding a skateboard contest, and you are invited to compete. It takes place on Saturday, August 22nd at the Cloverdale Curling Rink in Surrey. We designed the contest with families who skate together in mind. There are 8 age groups, 4 for the guys and 4 for the girls, including both Boys and Girls age 10-and-under divisions. There are also divisions for Jr. Men's 11 to 19, Men's 20 to 39, and Sr. Men's 40 and up, and the same three divisions for the Women. Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in all 5 events in all 8 age groups. Do the math; that is 120 trophies. If you don't win a trophy, chances are you will win something in the Contestants' PRIZE DRAW, where you have a chance to win decks, wheels, trucks, bearings, and other great prizes. The contest is open to the first 100 BC residents who register and pay their $10 Entry Fee, so sign up before it's too late.
