My novel "Indefinite Time" renders a profound insight into the juvenile crime scene in Saskatchewan as sculptured by the Young Offenders Act and a constitution that is weighted more heavily to protect the rights of criminals over the rights of victims. Indefinite sentences become one man's answer to separating youth from criminal exploitation. While the streets of Saskatoon erupt into chaos, Bob Mayweather fights organized crime, the politicians and the judicial system.
This book is contemporary fiction, but the remarkably believable characters bring this story to life, leaving the reader wondering if this could be true.

A bit more about my novel
The title “Indefinite Time” refers to a system that would permanently remove juvenile career criminals from the streets. Their sentence is indefinite, not life. The critical time to save them is short. The most impressionable minds remain malleable only until adulthood, when minds become hardwired to other life choices.
In the story, the main character is a dedicated social worker who decides to embark on a journey to save career criminal kids by changing the laws and the consequences. The political ground he must cross is a minefield of social, cultural and racial bombs that are so complicated to defuse, even his closest supporters are often forced to run for cover.
